BIOGRAPHY
Kimberly Lewis is an actor, writer, producer and director who has taught and performed improvisation for 30+ years.
As a performer at ACME Comedy Theatre, she won multiple awards for her original character work in improv shows and sketches.
In addition to ACME, Kimberly has taught improv at AMDA, Impro Theatre, and Deborah Gibson’s Camp Electric Youth (alongside Wayne Brady, Jason Alexander and Howard Fine). She currently leads improv groups for people in recovery from substance abuse.
Kimberly specializes in helping actors create original characters and develop celebrity impressions. Students who took her “SNL Audition Workshop” have booked MadTV, FrankTV, Inside Amy Schumer and ABC/CBS diversity showcases. They have gone on to win Emmys, become show runners and TV hosts, join Groundlings Sunday Company and even create their own sketch show on Netflix.
Kimberly has an MFA in Acting from California Institute of the Arts and believes that good acting is essential to good improv.
