BIOGRAPHY
Denny Siegel is a veteran improv performer and teacher whose TV credits include Whose Line Is It Anyway?, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Live appearances include Chicago City Limits, The Toyota Comedy Festival, The Improv, the ACME, IO West, Disneyland, The Big Stinkin’ International Comedy Festival and the Montreal Comedy Festival, where she won MVP.
Denny has taught at venues including the H.I.T., Cold Tofu, Rogue, Bang, Chicago City Limits, Theatre 68, Laughter on Call and the Showcase Academy. Her classes range from “Beginning Improv” through “Improv for the Actor,” focusing on emotional authenticity in improvised scene work. Students have called her a “caring,” “generous” and “fabulous teacher” who excels at “paying attention to details and providing empathetic notes,” adding, “If you have a fear of improv, Denny will fix it for you.”
Denny performs at the Outside In with Cold Tofu and in other shows, co-hosts the HIT’s monthly short form show, “The Big Short,” and appears in various long form and musical improv shows around town.
