SCRIPTED
BEFORE IT’S
TOO LATE

SEP 15 – OCT 6
Before It’s Too Late begins with a clock counting down as Christopher Moncayo-Torres, a habitually late Ecuadorian-American live-storyteller, rushes to make up for lost time with his born and bred Ecuadorian parents, Nancy Moncayo and Abel Torres in this heartfelt, comedic solo-ish show.
COCO
QUEENS

OCT 19 – NOV 17
Coco Queens, set in a small Alabama town during the 1970s and follows four Black women whose lives have been shaped by love, loss, ambition, betrayal and sisterhood. When long-buried secrets begin to surface, they are forced to confront the wounds that have divided them and decide whether truth can help guide them back to one another.
TRANS LINEAGE

DEC 5 – DEC 15
The fifth year of this program, first time with OI. A world-premiere trilogy of one-act plays by an international group of trans playwrights. This year’s works follow the paths people create in pursuit of joy, intimacy, connection and the freedom to be fully seen.
UNSCRIPTED
CARCOSA

SEP 19 – OCT 24
Beyond the Lake of Hali, beneath twin suns and black stars, stands the ruined city of Carcosa. Inspired by the strange fiction of Ambrose Bierce, Robert W. Chambers, and H. P. Lovecraft, Carcosa is an entirely improvised cosmic horror story filled with forbidden knowledge, fractured realities, secret cults, and ancient monsters whose existence was never meant to be discovered.
IMPROVISED
MONSTER MOVIE

OCT 2 – NOV 20
Inspired by the golden age of late-night horror hosts, drive-in creature features, and classic B-movies, Improvised Monster Movie invites the audience to help create the night’s feature before the cameras (sort of) roll.
AUSTENSIBLY JANE:
A WINTER’S TALE

NOV 1 – DEC 20
Austensibly Jane is an entirely improvised play in the style of a Jane Austen novel. With much wit and heart, the cast blends regency-era charm with modern sensibilities to create a delightful love story over the course of two acts
