The under construction bar in the lobby of the Outside In Theatre main space.

We’re gearing up to open our doors to the public next month! We are thrilled about the progress we have made and the artistic vision we are committed to bringing to life. Keep an eye out for more updates regarding our opening and the opportunities we have in store for the community we serve.

If interested in volunteer opportunities, please hit the volunteer button and someone will contact you shortly!

Do you have an idea that is still under construction? The Incubator is the space to test it out in front of a supportive audience!

We’re looking for a variety of ideas that are driven by an interesting concept. That means it does not need to be specifically comedy nor does it need to be strictly improv. So bring out your movement pieces, sketches, scripted scenes, digital shorts, music, and everything in-between!
If you don’t have an idea but want to be a part of the Incubator as an individual or a group, please sign-up to be to be a part of the Improv R&D Team, an improv set where we will give you the format/performance-concept right before the show starts. It’s max experimentation and max fun!

The Incubator is the perfect show to come watch as well. We’re looking to create a space to experiment, inspire, and be inspired. So even if you don’t have an idea yet, please come out and support your fellow performers!

The Frogs episode 2 promo - thumbnails of guest and host on top of action shot of guest

We dropped a new episode of our podcast, The Frogs, hosted by Alex Ubokudom and Tobie Windham.

This episode features the actor Eric Berryman. Star of Will Power’s MEMNON at The Getty Villa this past fall. Produced conjunction with Outside In Theatre.

The Frogs are Theatre. Culture. Vibe. Unapologetically Black, theater nerd culture, mixed with real-world energy.  It’s intellectual and ratchet, classy but down-to-earth. A bold mix of theater, entertainment, and pop culture.

DON’T TOUCH MY HAIR

February 13th – 24th

Lifelong best friends Eemani and Jade decompress one afternoon over a good blunt. Unbeknownst to them, the blunt is laced with much more than weed spiraling the duo into a hilarious hallucination that allows them to confront the oppressors of the past dead-on.

Don’t Touch My Hair is an IAMA Workshop Production from GLAAD-nominated playwright Douglas Lyons. Workshop Productions live in the space between a staged reading and Opening Night of a world premiere production. With workshop productions, the focus is on process instead of product and YOU, as our audience, are a key part of that process.
