Theatre Updates

Stained glass sun roof in the lobby of the main theater

Let there be light!

We are incredibly excited about the new stained glass skylight in our main Lobby, crafted by Judson Studios, a family-owned business known for producing exquisite stained glass for over 125 years and based in Highland Park. This stunning artwork is the centerpiece of The Lobby—Community Lounge & Cafe, a gathering spot for artists, theater lovers, and Highland Park residents. We look forward to enjoying this space with you when we reach our opening events.

We’re still looking for volunteers to assist with the opening and beyond! Please hit the volunteer button and someone will contact you shortly!

Scripted Updates

The upcoming production of Roger Guenveur Smith’s IN HONOR OF JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT, which was scheduled to open in our Main Space from March 13 to March 30, due to circumstances beyond our control has been postponed. This difficult decision was made due to construction delays, compounded by our city’s efforts to manage a higher volume of inspection requests in light of recent events.

We value your readiness to join us in our new space with this beautiful production. Please know that we are committed to presenting this important work with the exceptional services and resources it deserves, and we remain optimistic that we will be able to share it with you this fall.

We appreciate your understanding and support during this process. Stay tuned for announcements of upcoming productions in our ArtBox and Main Space in April & May.

Unscripted Updates

Illustration of an old stage above the words 'THE INCUBATOR'. All with an overlay of blueprint-esque markings.

Do you have an idea that is still under construction? The Incubator is the space to test it out in front of a supportive audience!

We’re looking for a variety of ideas that are driven by an interesting concept. That means it does not need to be specifically comedy nor does it need to be strictly improv. So bring out your movement pieces, sketches, scripted scenes, digital shorts, music, and everything in-between!
If you don’t have an idea but want to be a part of the Incubator as an individual or a group, please sign-up to be to be a part of the Improv R&D Team, an improv set where we will give you the format/performance-concept right before the show starts. It’s max experimentation and max fun!

The Incubator is the perfect show to come watch as well. We’re looking to create a space to experiment, inspire, and be inspired. So even if you don’t have an idea yet, please come out and support your fellow performers!

Presenting the World Premiere of The Unraveling at the Broadwater Mainstage

March 8th  – March 30th

Inspired by the mythical character of Circe, Ghost Road Company’s latest devised work centers around an aging Classics professor, who feels increasingly disconnected from her students and the world. After a career killing scandal, she escapes from the society she has come to despise in order to isolate herself on the side of a remote mountain. But her isolation is soon to come to an end when a young gamer takes up residence in his deceased mother’s cabin. From there, this clash of generations weaves a story of family, loneliness, love, and friendship.
