This intermediate class explores Keith Johnstone–based narrative improvisation, focusing on status, tilting, and risk-taking to build grounded, story-driven scenes in a supportive ensemble.

TEACHER

Joseph has been performing, teaching, and directing improvisational theatre for over 30 years. He’s received training from Randy Dixon, Del Close, and extensively with Keith Johnstone. He was one of the original founders of Dad’s Garage Theatre in Atlanta Georgia, directed shows at LA Theatresports, taught classes at NYFA and worked at the ACME Comedy Theatre as the Improv Director and Head Writer. He has created and innovated many improvisational formats and has taught thousands of classes. He currently instructs improv to lawyers and other professionals at Improv forTrial.  You may also have seen him on television in Curb your Enthusiasm, Scrubs, That 70’s Show, Girlboss, iCarly, Desperate Housewives and many others. He has two cats.
